Colfiorito, Monte Pennino, Castelluccio di Norcia, Tre Pizzi Monte Gemmo and Monte Subasio are all equipped for paragliding. You can both contact facilities and arrange a guided flight, or those more experienced can easily follow all instructions provided on the web and by local tourist offices. Castelluccio di Norcia and Sibillini Mountains – Flying over this area, you will have a magnificent view over the plateau. During the season of blooming, Castelluccio bursts with bright colours and spectacular sights.
Monte Subasio – The favourable winds of Monte Subasio will let you glide over the stunning city of Assisi. From here, you will also be able to see in the distance Lake Trasimeno and the Apennines and then you will land in Rivotorto di Assisi.
Monte Pennino and Colfiorito – Monte Pennino lies on the border between Marche and Umbria. Here you will fly over the “Plateau of silence”, a precious area around Colfiorito where biodiversity is carefully preserved.
Monte Cucco – The range of Monte Cucco is perfect for paragliding; its favourable meteorological and orographic conditions make it an excellent practice area for both beginners and experts. It is in fact no coincidence that Monte Cucco has been chosen several times as a competition field for national and international tournaments, such as the World Hand-Gliding Championship.
