Perugia 1416 it is placed between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, when the image of a new society becomes a model of orderly social development, economic fervor with an extraordinary artistic development that spread throughout Europe.
The event was born in 2016, on the occasion of the sixth centenary of the beginning of the Lordship of Braccio Fortebracci da Montone over the city of Perugia, whose keys to the city were given to him following the victory in the battle of Sant'Egidio on 12 July 1416. First and last lord of the city, he left his mark on it with the construction of the stately palace between the Duomo and the Vescovado, the consolidation of the Piazza del Sopramuro and the reclamation of the Trasimeno.

During the days, a historical parade takes place, the shooting of the javelin, the "Corsa del Drappo" (the five districts participate in a speed race, the aim of which is to deliver a cloth to the arrival point before the others), and to finish the โMossa della Torreโ (the districts face off two by two, in an elimination competition based on tactics, muscular energy and cooperation).
